Community & SUSTAINABILITY
DECEMBER
We’re donating $1.00 from every Green State Lager sold to The Vermont Releaf Collective
Each month, $1 from every Green State Lager sold in our taproom benefits a different environmental organization.
We also offer our customers the opportunity to donate to the organization of the month. Green State for Good is one way we hope to support the groups that keep our natural world safe.
Sustainability
It’s a core tenEt of our work.
We prioritize partnering with proactive environmental organizations, as well as setting sustainable goals for our own business. We aim to not only bring people beer from the Green State but to protect the landscape that serves as the background of our community. We are always working to bring the environment to the forefront of our decisions, and continue to grow and improve this sector of our business.
Keep Vermont Green
As a 1% for the Planet member we have committed to donating 1% of sales from 12 packs of our Green State Lager, as well as 1% of sales from our bottled beers to environmental causes.
As a company that profits from using resources, we are committed to giving back in order to preserve the longevity of those resources and our greater planet.
Request a Donation
We are passionate about giving back to the communities that have so generously supported us.
We review all donation requests but prioritize Vermont and Burlington based community efforts as well as focus our giving on our core values: Environment, Community Development and The Arts.
Community Initiatives
We asked our community to put on their Adventure Pants and help our Restaurants, and they sure did deliver!
We owe so much to the businesses that have shared our products with their customers, given people a place to experience our beers, and helped us grow. As restaurants face the current impacts of reduced business due to Covid-19, these valuable experiences are at risk of disappearing.
100% of profits from this beer, $12,286, were donated to the VTIR.
June 12th marks the supreme court decision in Loving v. Virginia that legalized interracial marriage in the United States.
Every year we celebrate this day in collaboration with Loving Day Vermont who organizes gatherings that bring together interracial, multiracial, and multicultural couples, individuals and families from across the state, along with others who want to celebrate the right to love whoever we love. A portion of sales from Loving Day Ale, support the organization.
We brewed this unique beer to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.
We brewed it in collaboration with, and in support of, The LGBTQIA Alliance of Vermont—an organization working to make Vermont a more inclusive place for all. A portion of sales of this beer went directly to the Alliance to support their continued and valuable work.
The can design was created by the winner of our art submission contest, Tara Flanagan.
We brew a saison in partnership with the Bobolink Odyssey—a project that studies Bobolink migration patterns, as well as the relationship between the Bobolink and VT agriculture.
We donate a portion of sales from this beer towards the purchase of GPS trackers for the birds, a much needed piece of technology that tracks their migration patterns. These devices reveal the amazing feats by Bobolinks while on migration including a three day non-stop flight from the coast of the mid-Atlantic states to Venezuela (a 2200 mile flight)
