Bernie Weisse Canning

Zero Gravity’s first batch of Berliner Weisse was brewed by Destiny Saxon at the Flatbread brewpub, and the slightly-sour quencher quickly became a favorite of ours. We decided to try out her recipe at our production brewery on Pine Street—and this time we wanted to brew the beer in honor of Vermont Senator and Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders.

This limited run of cans was released on Super Tuesday during a party that hosted a screening of primary election results. All of the cans were completely sold out within 5 hours of their release. The production of this beer illustrates the pride we have for the movement that Bernie has generated. On Super Tuesday, a pivotal moment in Sanders’ Campaign, we aimed to unite the people of Burlington in celebration of all that our beloved former Mayor has accomplished.
